Grooming happens whether the home is ready for it or not.
Japanese hardwood — close-grained, warm in the hand — forms the body of the brush, finished smooth enough to sit on a bathroom shelf without apology. Stainless steel pins are set at 135° into an air-cushioned pad, flexing slightly on contact rather than dragging. A TPR grip runs the underside, absorbing the pressure of the longer passes.
It sits where grooming tools usually don't — on the shelf, beside the towels, visible. The wood ages with use, the grain slowly darkening where the hand meets it most. Sessions that once required negotiation become, if not peaceful, at least brief.
BEC found the cushioned pad sufficiently unsatisfying to chew through, which is its own kind of endorsement.
